A read-later list for Chrome, without an account
The problem
You find a good article at the wrong moment. You leave the tab open, and a week later you have 40 tabs and no idea which ones you meant to read. Pocket used to handle this, but Pocket shut down, and most replacements want an account.
How it works
Click the ReadStash icon on any article and choose Save this page for later. ReadStash keeps the title, site, a short summary and an estimated read time. Your unread count shows on the icon. Search your list, mark things done, close the tab.
Free vs Pro
| Free | Free key ($0) | Pro ($12 once) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unread pages | 30 | 150 | Unlimited |
| Search and mark done | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| CSV export | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Tags | No | No | Yes |
| Pocket / bookmarks import | No | No | Yes |
Honest limits
- No sync. Your list stays on this computer.
- Not an offline copy. ReadStash saves the link and a summary, not the full article text.
FAQ
Does ReadStash upload my reading list? No. It reads a page only when you click Save, and the only network call is a Gumroad license check when you enter a key.
Can I bring my Pocket list? Yes, with Pro: import the CSV from your Pocket export, or a bookmarks HTML file.
