Clipboard history for Chrome, without an account

The problem

You copy an address, then a tracking number, then a line from an email. When you go back for the address, it's gone. Your clipboard holds one thing at a time, so the fix is usually going back to find it again, or keeping a scratch doc open all day just to park things.

If you spend your day in Chrome, filling forms, answering tickets or moving details between tabs, that adds up. PasteLog is a small Chrome extension I built for that one problem.

How it works (one moment)

Copy line A. Copy line B. Now you need line A back. Open PasteLog, type a word you remember, like "invoice", and line A shows up in the list. Click it and it's back on your clipboard, ready to paste.

That's the whole idea: everything you copy in Chrome gets saved quietly, it's searchable, and it's one click from pasting again.

Free vs Pro

These are the tiers as listed on the Gumroad pages and in the product spec:

Free (no key)Free key ($0+)Pro ($19 one-time)
Saved copies252005,000
Pins15Unlimited
SearchYesYesYes
Format cleanup when you paste——Yes
Backup of your history to a file you own——Yes

Pro is a single payment. There's no subscription. You paste your license key into PasteLog → Options to unlock it.

Honest limits: what PasteLog is not

FAQ

Does PasteLog upload what I copy? No. The Gumroad page says your copies never leave your computer. The only network call in the spec is the Gumroad license check.

What do I get for free? Without a key you get the last 25 copies, search and 1 pin. The free key (name a fair price, $0 is fine) raises that to 200 copies and 5 pins.

Is Pro a subscription? No. It's $19 once.

FACT-CHECK (internal, remove before publishing): Pro and free-key facts were OBSERVED on Gumroad on 2026-10-13. The no-key tier (25 copies, 1 pin) and "Chrome only" come from research/specs/clipboard-pastelog.md (spec, not verified in the shipped build). The CWS listing is UNKNOWN, and the Gumroad page doesn't explain where to install the extension (the install-path gate in MEDIA-PACKET §1). A 10/10 receipt said "unpublished," but the page loads publicly. Confirm the publish state.
